2024 Festival Participant Application

Active Participants – chosen to perform one 40-minute lesson in a Masterclass setting with piano accompaniment. Complete and your Active Participant Application form below including audition links by Monday, 15th April 2024.

Successful applications will be notified by email by Friday, 26th April 2024 and will be sent a link to make payment for the Active Participant Fee which must be paid in full by Monday, 13th May 2024.
ACTIVE PARTICIPANT SPACES ARE LIMITED.

Once your application and repertoire are accepted, we may ask you to send us a copy of your sheet music if we do not have it on file.

Once you have submitted your application form below, you will be redirected to our payment page where you can pay your Application Fee via PayPal. Application fee: CHF 75.00 Be sure to include your full name along with your payment for our reference.

Audition Recordings

Two current video recordings of contrasting works and tempos from two different composers from the standard flute repertoire. Please clearly list the name of your selected repertoire with composer and date of performance. If possible, your recording should be with piano or orchestral accompaniment. Your recordings should not be older than six months. Your application will not be considered if you do not supply your recordings at the time of application. All recordings must be on the normal concert Flute.

Performance Choice

Please list your choices of repertoire for flute and piano that you would like to perform during your lesson, this includes orchestral excerpts. As this is a Galway Flute Festival, we recommend you use James Galway editions when possible. NOTE: Your choices cannot be changed once submitted!

Financial Assistance

A limited number of scholarships are available. Scholarship recipients will be asked to assist with light duties during the festival.

To be considered for any need based financial assistance, all applicants are asked to submit detailed information to support their request.
