The passion and guidance of Sir James & Lady Galway have brought thousands of flutists and music lovers together in a nurturing and non-competitive environment. The Festival as it is today, began as a simple Masterclass and has grown into one of the most sought after Summer Flute Festivals. Students benefit on many levels to prepare for their futures, be it a career as a soloist, orchestral player, teacher or gaining insight into the world of flute playing.
We have been fortunate over the years to have support from the worlds leading Flute Makers, Music Industry Leaders and Artists, who come back year after year to share their expertise with us.
We understand many of our students and families are facing more financial challenges due to the global economic climate. We, at the Galway Flute Academy, try to enable as many students in need as possible to benefit from the wonderful opportunities our Festival has to offer, however our funds are limited. A great number of our students are at a pivotal point in their studies and any assistance, however large or small, will make a huge difference to their lives. We would be grateful for any contribution you might be able to offer.
